In 1980, a small group of dedicated individuals recognized the need to provide personal, compassionate care for the terminally ill in Southwest Washington. They set out to raise the money necessary to make a hospice program a reality. In only a few years, their dream came true with the opening of Hospice Southwest.
Friends of Hospice Southwest Washington, a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer corporation, has worked for over thirty-five years to supplement the financial resources of our local hospice programs. Today, with the help of many volunteers and donors, Friends of Hospice Southwest Washington supports the efforts of Hospice Southwest and the Ray Hickey Hospice House as they continue to provide the best of medical and compassionate care for the terminally ill.
